Hi, I’m Gabe. I’m a software engineer and pianist in Queens, and for now, Komado is just me.
I spent a year as a digital nomad in Japan and became obsessed with Japandi design: warm wood, soft colors, harmony.
Komado is Japanese for “little window,” and that’s what I want to make: small, calm windows onto the things you check every day. The Calm Commuter is the first one. It shows the next trains from your station, so you can leave your phone in your pocket on the way out the door.
